The Exilim EX-V8 is a point and shoot camera. Its main advantage is a very small size: the photographer can take it anywhere with himself easily. The camera has max shutter speed of 1/800 sec. It is not very fast shutter speed but anyway the photographer will be able to capture images of moving subjects. The Exilim EX-V8 can even record videos but the max resolution is not too high - 848 x 480.
The lens is built into the Exilim EX-V8 and the photographer can't change it. The lens provides average 7x optical zoom.
