The P-171X is a 17 inch laptop.
The P-171X has a large 17 inch display that is an ideal buy for designers and gamers. But it has big dimensions and weight and the P-171X costs more than devices with smaller display size. The P-171X has a convenient 1440x900 resolution and rather poor picture quality.
The P-171X runs a rather fast Dual-Core Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 CPU. As it has two cores it will allow a computer to do multiple things at the same time. To get really amazing performance it is better to select a laptop with Quad-Core CPU like HP EliteBook 8740w.
The 3 GB of memory is a very low capacity which will not be enough for normal usage. If you feel that the notebook has not enough memory for you, the memory is expandable up to 4 GB.
The laptop has Intel GMA X3100. It shows a very bad performance and is only good for easy tasks like video streaming and web browsing.
This model has a small 250 GB HDD. Hard drives have a low prices however they are much slower than SSD and Hybrid drives.
