Olympus Tough TG-4 prices and specs
The Tough TG-4 was released on Apr 13, 2015. For now the cheapest price for the device is $499.99.
The Tough TG-4 is a compact camera. Its main benefit is a small size: the photographer can even put it in the pocket. The Olympus Tough TG-4 has various automatic modes but you won't get photos of the same high quality in comparison to large sensor compact cameras.
The Olympus Tough TG-4 can make images at 16 megapixels highest resolution. But for better image quality the more important thing is a sensor size. The Tough TG-4 has a 1/2.3' (6.17 x 4.55 mm) sensor which means that the model will make images with not so high quality as cameras with bigger sensors but instead it has more portable size. And if you want to take images of the best quality pay attention to Sony Alpha 7S.
The Olympus Tough TG-4 has max shutter speed of 1/2000 sec. It is an average shutter speed which will be enough for taking action images of a satisfactory quality. The Olympus Tough TG-4 produces great videos in Full HD resolution.
The lens is built into the Olympus Tough TG-4 and you won't be able to change it. The lens provides 4x optical zoom.
Also this device has Wi-Fi which means that the Tough TG-4 owner can use the phone or tablet for remote control for example. The Olympus Tough TG-4 even equiped with built-in GPS that will allow the photographer to pinpoint the location where the images were taken. The Tough TG-4 battery life will be enough to take about 380 images.

- Rough and ready: Olympus Tough TG-4 review Jeff Keller, 2017-02-02
Olympus' TG series of rugged cameras have long been some of our favorites, with the TG-2 and TG-3 both earning silver awards. The TG-4 isn't dramatically different than its predecessors. It uses the same 16MP BSI CMOS sensor and F2.0-4.9, 25-100mm equivalent lens and has just a few new shooting modes. The big new feature is significant, and that's Raw support. Gone are the days where you're stuck with the smudgy JPEGs commonly found on small-sensored compacts, if you're willing to spend some time in your favorite Raw editor. It's this feature which increases the TG-4's lead over its peers.
