The Desire C by HTC was announced on May 2012 and the first offers appeared on June 2012. The cell phone is on sale from carriers including AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile USA as well as retail stores like Target, Wal-Mart.
The cell phone runs on the most popular operating system on the market for now - Android OS. Desire C was produced with the already out-of-date for now Android version: 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It means that the cell phone will run most part of the old games and apps and a very few number of the latest ones with this default OS version. The cell phone has 600 MHz Cortex-A5 CPU which shows a bad performance. It runs 512 MB RAM which is not enough for normal usage.
